We audit to maximize Client Value as defined as net recovery/net savings less audit costs. We do not "cherry pick" the easy findings while working on a fixed fee. Cherry picking maximizes profit, but is a disservice to our valued clients. Consequently, using our specialized audit procedures, we dig deeper than our competitors to identify over-billings, verify cost documentation and fully report our findings to our client.
We pour over the construction contracts and exhibits to first learn its weaknesses and holes. We usually do NOT sample, but audit nearly every cost document. Frequently, we audit at the contractor's office to see original documentation and contractor cost reports.
On average, our Construction Audits produce net savings of one percent (1%) of total construction costs. Our reports provide the answers and methods to increase controls for future payments and future construction projects.
Our auditing methods and our experienced auditors work carefully to preserve the relationship between our client/owners and their Construction Manager, General Contractor, architect/engineers and sub-contractors.
